After 4:00am on December 18, 2007, the Perry-Clear Creek Fire Protection  was toned out for condo fire at the Pointe on Lake Monroe.  Due to the fire being in the walls, all fire departments in the county were toned out for either apparatus or personnel support.  Fire was caused by faulty wiring and no injures were reported.  County Fire Departments assisting were Bloomington Fire Dept., Bloomington Township Fire Dept., Bean Blossom Township Fire Dept., Benton Township Fire Department, Ellettsville Fire Department and Van Buren Township Fire Department.
